Steel Materials Guide

Understand the key differences between our Carbon and Galvanized steel offerings to choose the right material for your project — balancing strength, corrosion resistance, cost, and application requirements.

Carbon Steel

Density: 7,850 kg/m³ · Grade: S275/S355/Q235

The backbone of industrial fabrication. Carbon steel offers exceptional tensile strength and is ideal for structural, load-bearing, and indoor applications. Cost-effective and highly weldable — the default choice when a protective coating or paint system will be applied.

Galvanized Steel

Density: 7,800 kg/m³ · Zinc coating: 85–200 µm

Carbon steel with a hot-dip zinc coating that provides a self-sacrificing barrier against corrosion. The preferred choice for outdoor, coastal, or humid environments where longevity with minimal maintenance is the priority. Service life of 50–70+ years in most environments.
